BERDUX History

Founded in the year 1871, Munich´s piano and grand piano manufacturer BERDUX developed into a famous brand name.

Berdux manufactured fine instruments as well as advanced piano mechanisms. In fact, to this day BERDUX ownes more piano engineering patents than most other manufacturers.

Due to its achievements, BERDUX was awarded the honour of becoming the official supplier to the Royal Familiy of Bavaria.

The brand BERDUX was soon to become synonymous with the outstanding art of piano building.

World renowned personalities such as Richard Wagner much appreciated the value of BERDUX instruments.

By 1966, 25.800 musical instruments had been built. Due to undisclosed familial reasons the production in Munich was ceased and the company withdrew from the piano industry.
